Welcome to the Kettle Valley Brakemen

In concert, The Brakemen present a blend of unique songs and dramatic or humorous stories as they unfold British Columbia's colourful railway heritage. Hear about the jail break of wily Bill Miner-the 'Grey Fox', deadly train wrecks, railway brawls and even raining rattlesnakes. It's all true!

"Jack's stories are well researched, REALLY well researched."
Doug Cox,
British Columbia historian

The Kettle Valley Brakemen bring railway history to life with true stories and original songs about British Columbia's dramatic steam train era with special emphasis on the spectacular Kettle Valley Railway. The Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) was once part of the Canadian Pacific Railway and is now one of the most scenic sections of the Trans Canada Trail.
